About CMS Prep
Built by an aspirant, for aspirants.
While preparing for UPSC CMS, I found that many resources had scattered questions, inconsistent answer keys, limited explanations, or lacked clear references to official sources. Aspirants were forced to juggle multiple websites and PDF compilations just to get a reliable set of previous-year questions.
CMS Prep was created to bring these resources together in one place and provide a more structured preparation experience, designed around the actual CMS exam pattern — two papers, specific subject allocations, and official marking rules.
The goal is simple: help aspirants spend less time searching for material and more time learning from it. Every design decision, from no-login access to subject-wise filtering, is meant to reduce friction.

- •Answer keys are reviewed using official UPSC answer keys and corrigenda wherever available.

CMS Prep is an ongoing project. The question bank is periodically reviewed to identify formatting issues, incorrect classifications, and outdated explanations.
User feedback plays an important role. Reported issues with textbook or UPSC references are reviewed and prioritised.
While every effort is made to maintain reliability, users are encouraged to refer to official UPSC notifications, answer keys, and standard textbooks whenever required. CMS Prep is a preparation aid, not a substitute for official sources.
CMS Prep is completely free to use. There are no subscriptions, paywalls, or locked features.
The platform was built on the belief that quality preparation resources should be accessible to every medical graduate preparing for UPSC CMS, regardless of their circumstances.

CMS Prep was built by a fellow medical graduate and UPSC CMS aspirant who wanted a better way to practise previous-year questions. What began as a personal study project evolved into a platform for other aspirants preparing in a more organised manner.

Every question on CMS Prep is accompanied by a detailed explanation that references standard textbooks or official UPSC answer keys — not just the correct option, but why the other options are wrong. This level of detail is deliberate: it allows aspirants to learn from every question, not just test themselves. Topic-wise filtering and year-wise browsing make it practical to focus revision on weak areas without having to scroll through entire papers.
Planned additions include AIIMS INI-CET and NEET PG previous-year questions with the same depth of explanation currently available for UPSC CMS, as well as subject-wise difficulty analysis and more interactive preparation tools. The long-term goal remains the same: a single, free, high-quality question bank that covers every major medical PG entrance exam in India, built by someone who has actually taken them.
