UPSC CMS recruits General Duty Medical Officers (GDMOs) and Junior Scale officers for the following Central Government services:

• Central Health Service (CHS) — General Duty Medical Officers posted in central government hospitals and dispensaries

• Indian Railway Medical Service — Medical Officers in the Railway Health Service

• Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) — Wellness Centres across major cities

• Ordnance Factories Health Service — Medical Officers in defence production units

• Armed Forces Medical Services (Junior Commissioned Officers) — Medical Officers serving armed forces

• East Delhi Municipal Corporation (or equivalent civil body) — Municipal Medical Officers
Step 1Register on UPSC One-Time Registration (OTR) portal at upsconline.gov.in
Step 2Login and fill the online application form for CMS 2026
Step 3Upload photo, signature, and required documents (as specified in notification)
Step 4Pay the application fee (₹ 200 for general; SC/ST/Female/PwBD candidates are exempted)
Step 5Submit and take printout of the completed application for future reference
