Note: Per NBEMS’s official notice dated July 1, 2026, the result for the August 30, 2026 exam is due by September 30, 2026. The provisional answer key date shifted from an earlier ~Sep 6–7 estimate to ~Sep 10, to accommodate a September 5 re-exam held for 2,445 candidates at two Jaipur centres affected by a power failure. How to Download the Scorecard
- Visit the NBEMS result portal (link announced on natboard.edu.in on result day).
- Log in using your roll number and date of birth / password.
- View and download your scorecard as a PDF.
- Save multiple copies — you will need this for counselling registration.
What Happens After the Result
Once the result is out, MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) opens registration for All India Quota (AIQ) counselling, typically within 2–4 weeks. State quota counselling is run separately by each state’s DME/DGHS. Based on the 2025 pattern, expect MCC registration to open in early-to-mid October 2026, with choice-filling and seat allotment rounds running through November.
Understanding Your Percentile vs Your Rank
Your scorecard shows both a percentile and an All India Rank (AIR) — these answer different questions. Percentile tells you what fraction of candidates you scored above, and determines whether you cross the qualifying cutoff for your category. AIR is your absolute position among all candidates and is what actually matters for counselling — a lower AIR number means a better position. Two candidates can share a similar percentile but have different AIR values depending on how tightly scores are clustered near that point on the curve.
If You Don’t Qualify
Not qualifying the cutoff in one attempt does not close the door — NEET PG has no restriction on the number of attempts, and there is no upper age limit. Many successful candidates need more than one attempt, especially for competitive branches. Use the gap before the next cycle to review your error log from the actual attempt (available informally through post-exam recall or coaching resource analysis) and rebuild a focused revision plan around weak areas.
