FMGE is conducted in two sessions on the same day:
- Part A (Morning session): 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM (2.5 hours, 150 questions)
- Lunch break: 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM
- Part B (Afternoon session): 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM (2.5 hours, 150 questions)
You must report at the exam centre at least 30 minutes before Part A. Entry is not permitted after the exam starts. Carry your printed admit card and a valid government photo ID.
If you missed the June 2026 session, the December 2026 session is your next opportunity. With approximately 4–5 months between sessions, you have a well-defined preparation window. The national average pass rate for FMGE is 40–50%, meaning nearly half of all candidates fail each session — systematic preparation from Day 1 is critical.
If you are currently in the final year of MBBS abroad, you can appear for FMGE in the session closest to your graduation. You must have completed your MBBS degree before applying.
