5 Things About FMGE Pattern Most Candidates Miss
- Attempt every question: Since there is NO negative marking, leave no question unattempted. Even random guessing on unknown questions is statistically beneficial โ you will get some correct.
- Parts A and B are independent: You cannot switch between Part A and Part B during the respective sessions. Finish Part A in 2.5 hours, take the lunch break, then appear for Part B.
- You CAN review within a session: Unlike INICET's locked sections, FMGE allows you to mark and revisit questions within Part A (during Part A session) and within Part B (during Part B session).
- Scores are combined: Your Part A and Part B marks are added together. You need 150/300 total โ there is no minimum per-part requirement. Strong performance in Part B can compensate for a weaker Part A.
- Question difficulty is mixed: FMGE tests knowledge at a minimum competency level, not competitive excellence. Direct-recall questions dominate. Clinical reasoning is tested but not to the same depth as NEET PG.
