INICET (Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test) is conducted by AIIMS New Delhi for MD/MS/DM/MCh admission to AIIMS (all campuses), JIPMER, PGIMER Chandigarh, NIMHANS and other Institutes of National Importance. This hub links to every INICET resource on CMS Prep — dates, pattern, syllabus, cutoff, seats, colleges and more.

INICET is held twice a year — in May and November — and is the sole gateway to postgraduate courses at all AIIMS institutions, JIPMER Puducherry, PGIMER Chandigarh, and NIMHANS Bangalore. It is aimed at MBBS graduates and final-year interns targeting superspecialty and specialty training at India’s top government medical institutes. Compared to NEET PG, INICET has a smaller candidate pool but far fewer seats, making it significantly more competitive per seat. The exam is computer-based with negative marking and a strong emphasis on clinical application and image-based questions.
