🎓 About FMGE / NExT 2026
FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduate Examination) is the mandatory licensing exam for MBBS graduates from foreign universities who wish to practise medicine in India. Conducted by NBEMS, it has a 300-question MCQ format testing clinical and para-clinical knowledge. NExT (National Exit Test) is its planned replacement — once implemented, it will also serve as the NEET PG qualifier. Medicine, Surgery, OBG, Paediatrics and PSM overlap substantially with UPSC CMS.
